1) Terms and Conditions of Use and Sale

1.1. Scope

These Terms govern access to visualfactory.pt and associated shops, as well as purchases of goods and services (e.g., books, publications, printed/digital images and editorial/audiovisual services).

1.2. Acceptance

By using the website and/or completing a purchase, the user declares that they accept these Terms and the Privacy Policy.

1.3. Products and editorial project “Sabores do Tacho”

The publishing brand Sabores do Tacho · Alentejo integrates printed books and support initiatives from Book ambassadors, in which the supporter's name can be printed on the Roll of honour, as described on the product/campaign page. Each copy corresponds to a name (quantity = number of names to include).

1.4. Prices, taxes and invoices

Prices are shown in euros and include the statutory taxes applicable at the date of purchase. In the event of a manifest pricing error, Visual Factory may cancel the order with a full refund of the amount paid.

1.5. Payment methods

Accepted: MB Way, Multibanco reference, Bank transfer e Credit Card. Processing is carried out through the payment service provider. Ifthenpay.The merchant does not store card data, and is prohibited from keeping card authentication data.

1.6. Orders, availability and pre-order

Some articles may be in pre-order (editorial production in progress). The estimated schedule is indicated on the project page; dates may be adjusted due to editorial production reasons.

1.7. Delivery and shipping

Unless otherwise stated, there is shipping offer for copies purchased within the national territory. International shipments may incur additional costs. Dispatch is managed by Visual Factory and is confirmed by email when distribution begins. The merchant must dispatch the goods via a licensed carrier and keep proof of delivery; this proof may be requested by the payment provider during an audit.

1.8. Personalised content

Personalised products (e.g., printing names on Roll of honour) are produced according to customer instructions and cannot be resold. See Returns Policy regarding the right of withdrawal.

1.9. Intellectual property

All content, images and brands are the property of Visual Factory or licensed for that purpose. Unauthorised reproduction is prohibited.

1.10. Limitation of liability

The website may contain external links. Visual Factory accepts no responsibility for unavailabilities, third-party delays or interruptions beyond its reasonable control.

1.11. Alternative dispute resolution

The consumer can resort to a Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) entity competent. Indicate here the chosen ADR entity and contact details (e.g. CNIACC). Visual Factory also provides the Complaints Book physical and electronic.

2) Returns, Exchanges and Warranties Policy

2.1. Right of free resolution (14 days)

The consumer has 14 days from receipt to cancel the contract without having to state a reason. To exercise this right, send us an unequivocal statement to info.visualfactory@gmail.com stating the order number, items and IBAN for the refund.

2.2. Exceptions to the right of withdrawal

Cannot return: goods made to the consumer's specifications or clearly personalised (e.g. books with the Ambassador's name printed on them), digital content after the start of supply with consent, or products with Signs of wear beyond what is strictly necessary for inspection.

2.3. Returns of items

In the event of valid termination, the consumer shall bear the direct costs of return, except in the case of non-conformity/defects. The refund is made via the same payment method (or bank transfer) upon receipt and inspection of the item(s).

2.4. Damaged or non-conforming products

Legal guarantees apply (Decree-Law 84/2021). In the event of a defect, please contact us; we will arrange a replacement/reshipment at no cost to the customer.

FAQ — Returns

• What is the returns period? 14 days after receipt (right of cancellation).
• Can personalised products be returned? No, barring any defect.
• Who pays the return postage? The consumer, except in the case of a defect/non-conformity.
• How do I get a refund? By the same payment method or by bank transfer after verification.

3) Privacy Policy

3.1. Data controller

3.3. Legal bases

3.4. Sharing with subcontractors

We may share data with strictly necessary service providers (hosting, e-mail, logistics, Ifthenpay payments). The payment provider may communicate data to regulatory/judicial authorities when required by law.

3.5. Conservation

We retain data for the period necessary for the purpose and legal time limits (e.g. invoicing). The payment provider may request periodic information updates and suspend services in the event of document non-compliance.

3.6. Data subjects' rights

3.7. Security

Appropriate technical and organisational measures; we reiterate that Visual Factory does not retain card details.

5) “Book Ambassadors” communications”

After payment, we send an email with a form to collect the names to print (one per line). The supporter can update/rectify the names within the deadline 7 days via this form. Inclusion is carried out as provided by the supporter (with the book's typographical rules).

6) Policy changes

These Terms and Policies may be updated. The version published on the website supersedes previous versions.
