FAQ — Image Service

Clarify any questions about our photography/video work with a focus on Magical realism, advanced editing and final delivery for hospitality, commercial, industrial, documentary, portraiture, architectural, food and corporate communication.

1. + What is “Magical Realism” in Visual Factory photography?
   It is our visual signature: images that maintain the authenticity of the location/subject, but elevated by lighting direction, framing, perspective and post-production meticulous — resulting in cinematic, striking and memorable photographs for brands and editorial projects.
2. + What areas do you cover within the imaging service?
   We work with hotel industry, commercial, industrial, documentary, portrait, architecture e gastronomy, as well as communication corporate. Coverage may include interior/exterior photography, product, lifestyle, team portraits, industrial recording and pieces for campaigns and media.
3. + What is your editing workflow like?
   The editing follows 4 layers, according to the needs of the project: basic treatment (colour/contrast/light), sectoral treatment selective zone adjustments, advanced treatment (perspectives/composition) and manipulation (removals/applications and final touches). The objective is to achieve the aesthetic result defined in the briefing.
4. + Who takes the photographs? Is the work accompanied by creative direction?
   The projects are led by Jerónimo Heitor Coelho (photographer), with planning and creative direction aligned with the brand objective. When necessary, we add an assistant, styling and production crew to optimise on-set execution.
5. + What are the deliverables and file formats?
   We deliver images processed and optimised for the defined purposes: files in JPEG (high quality) and, where applicable, versions in PNG/TIFF e web variations (sRGB, dimensions and weight adjusted). We also provide cuts e aspect ratios specific ones (e.g. 1:1, 4:5, 16:9) for websites/social media. RAW files are not delivered as standard.
6. + What is the average production and delivery time?
   It varies depending on the size and complexity: simple sessions typically have editing and delivery times between 3 to 7 working days. Projects with multiple locations/advanced production may require a phased schedule defined at kick-off (briefing/schedule).
7. + How do usage rights and licensing work?
   The rights are licensed according to the use agreed (e.g., institutional, editorial, advertising, digital, OOH, duration, territory). We can adjust the licensing for specific campaigns. Talk to us to tailor the contract to your media plan.
8. + Do you shoot in different locations and at different times (e.g. golden hour/night)?
   Yes. We have planned the session for best light (golden/blue hour, night-time) and we use lighting/modelling when necessary to ensure consistency. We shoot indoors/outdoors, in urban or industrial areas and travel upon quotation.
9. + Are there revisions included? What is the feedback process?
   We have included a round of adjustments Following preliminary delivery (colour grading/cropping/minor retouching), additional requests or advanced manipulation can be quoted separately. Feedback is provided via an online gallery or a document with timecodes.
10. + Do you also develop design and communication based on the images?
    Yes. The image integrates with Design (graphic pieces, editorial design, key visuals) and Communication (online/offline, social and activation campaigns), ensuring brand coherence from concept to final output.
11. + How do I ask for a quote and availability?
    Send us the brief (objective, areas to be photographed, number of images, deadlines, intended use) via form our email. We will reply with planning, scheduling and a detailed proposal.
